Who is the Physical Readiness Program for?

Physical readiness testing is required for all personnel on a semi-annual basis. These testings, education, and training programs are given by a network of collateral duty command fitness coordinators.

What are the extra responsibilities of Navy Medicine for the Physical Readiness Program?

  • Providing technical assistance to BUPERS
  • Conducting lifestyle, fitness, and obesity research
  • Reviewing health status and granting waivers for individuals unable to safely participate in physical fitness testing and training
