Suspended stock, often known as “J” stock, is used to keep items that aren’t ready to be distributed. In order to avoid confusion with usable or “good” stock, the suspended stock must be kept separate from other storage locations and properly labeled. Where is suspended materials stored?
For reasons of security or temperature control, suspended material is stored in a separate storage room while it is suspended. To avoid accidentally issuing the item, make sure the stock is properly labeled as “SUSPENDED.” The shelf where suspended stock is kept can be taped off as a solution to this problem.
