What is the Medical Readiness Reporting System (MRRS)?

Like Shipboard Non-tactical Automatic Data Process (SNAP) Automated Medical System (SAMS), MRRS is another tool for tracking medical and dental readiness of active duty and reserve Navy and Marines. It is internet-based and allows providers to edit, modify, update, and manage readiness regardless of location.

The member can be anywhere in the world, receiving care from a different military division and still be able to get his/her records updated for any provider to see.

How does the military link SAMS and MRRS together?

There’s something called Central Data Repository (CDR) and Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS) that is capable of linking SAMS to MRRS.
